Grey is the sole mastering engineer at Grey Larsen Mastering. His meticulous attention to detail and outstanding ear for music are evident on each project. Our clients uniformly find that their projects have been signifigantly enhanced, often in ways they did not anticipate.
Typically, all recording and mixing is already complete when clients come to us for mastering. But just in case it's not, we offer full recording and mixing services at $50/hour. We use Neumann U87s, KM 184s, and AKG 414 microphoness. All inputs are run through Class A Oram preamps. Other mics, preamps and gear are available locally to rent, or you can bring your own.

If you'd like to hear Grey's mastering work before committing your entire project,
you can do just that - for free.
Send us one song. Grey will master this song for you and put the
mastered version on a CDR, back to back with your unmastered version (for
your ease of comparison). We'll send the disc (and your original) back to you by Priority Mail.
If you then decide to have Grey master your project, his normal pricing will apply for the entire project.
Guarantee
If you have Grey Larsen master your CD and then judge your original to be better sounding than the mastered version, we will refund the cost of the mastering. You pay only for the blank media that was used, shipping costs, and any rush fees incurred, based on the prices in effect when the project was completed. You must notify us within ten days of delivery and return all mastered copies to take advantage of this offer.
