André learned this little pearl of a song, once again, from a phone message from Michel Faubert. Michel had learned the song from the late Monsieur Alphonse Morneau, from Baie des Rochers in Québec. The song is also known as Le Poêle à Fourneau (The Oven Rack).

The Killavil Schottische is a tune from Michael J. Kennedy. Schottisches are rarely played by Irish musicians today, but there were quite a few of them in Kennedy’s older repertoire. Today Irish musicians usually play this tune as a reel.
