The first and third reels come from Tom Byrne (1920-2001) and Tom McCaffrey (1916-2006), two immigrants from Counties Sligo and Leitrim, from whom Grey learned much of his Irish music. The second tune Grey learned from flute player Josie McDermott (1925-1992) while visiting Josie at his home in Co. Roscommon in 1979.
