Description
Years after Grey Larsen wrote this tune, a version of it evolved in Brittany, where it was adapted to fit the range of the Highland bagpipes. That version is often referred to as “Jig Brest St. Marc” and has become part of the standard repertoire for Highland bagpipes as well as fiddlers of Scottish leanings. That is the version that was recorded by The Tannahill Weavers and many other artists.
