André composed Exil (Exile) in 1980, inspired by Irish slow airs as played by uilleann pipers.

After playing Exil, André turns Grey’s Old Drops of Brandy into a turlutte (a mouth music or lilting tune), shifting its meter from 18/8 to 12/8.

The Old Bush is a well-known and well-loved Irish reel. Grey and André play it first in the unusual key of B, and then in D, as it is normally played, also singing the tune together as a turlutte.
