Lisa Ornstein, a remarkable musician who is very well-know in traditional Québecois music circles, composed this beautiful tune in tribute to the great fiddler Louis “Pitou” Boudreault (1905-1988) who haled from Chicoutimi in the Saguenay region of Québec. Lisa spent a great deal of time with Pitou during the 1980s, learning his music and writing about it.

Boudreault and many other Acadians referred to the northern lights as les marionettes.
