In 1976 Grey Larsen began performing with Malcolm Dalglish. They made three recordings, Banish Misfortune, The First of Autumn and Thunderhead. The performed widely throughout the US and also toured in Ireland, England, Scotland and Belgium. In 1982 they joined forces with Pete Sutherland to form the trio Metamora.

In 1982 the duo of Malcolm Dalglish and Grey Larsen invited Pete Sutherland to join them to form the trio, Metamora. This highly-acclaimed group performed widely throughout the US and Canada from 1982 through 1991. They made three recordings: Metamora, Morning Walk and The Great Road. Their music was also featured on several sampler compilations on the Windham Hill label.

Grey recorded The Orange Tree with André Marchand in 1993. In July 2004 Grey and André released the follow-up recording, Les Marionnettes. Thousands know André from his years with the seminal Québeçois band La Bottine Souriante and his current a cappella male a cappella vocal group, Les Charbonniers de l’Enfer.

Grey made two Irish music CDs, The Green House and Dark of the Moon, with Paddy League in 2001 and 2003. They performed soulful traditional Irish music throughout the US and in Europe with Irish flute, tin whistle, concertina, harmonium, guitar and bodhrán (traditional Irish frame drum).
